After the start of full scale Russian invasion on Ukraine we have seen the focus of all western media outlets shifting from the entire world to this single problem. From major channels like CNN, BBC and new york times to smaller ones all are discussing different aspects of Ukraine issue.
Its because after a long time in peace they have are experiencing such a big problem in a so called “Western civilized world. Or in other words a “European country” and now they realize that war actually force people out of homes and take lives.
While their opinion on its place is legit and the killing of civilians is brutality. Yet we are fed up with west’s double standards for Muslim countries such as the middle east.
In the past few decades several Muslim countries have been the targets for west’s cruelty and unethical military operations for nonsense reasons. But they have hardly been shown on media and no time have been given to them on any channel. These double standards and inhuman activities has spread ant US and Europe opinions in the same duration in the Muslim world and the middle east.
We have written thousands of articles to draw the attention of the media to the wrong policies that west has used against us but nobody cares about that.
I call on the west’s people that you are worried about a few thousand killings in Ukraine, just imagine those millions of people that the US has killed in the middle east. Just imagine the entire cities that were leveled off by joint US and Russian bombing.
Those children who were killed to market your new defence technologies. Consider Iraq which was invaded for no obvious reason “which the US president D. Trump also mentioned” and millions of people were killed.
In the end we all are humans and all have equal right to live on earth. We should stand against the war on Ukraine and all of us should play our roles. But in the mean time we demand a crystal clear investigations of all those unnecessary wars which has taken place in the past decade.
The media is continuously avoiding to broadcast the incidents happening in the Muslim world. While all the channels are busy screaming about Ukraine and what’s happening there. In the same time no one cares about Palestine where an Aljazeera reporter was shot dead by an Israeli sniper. And even her funeral was not let in peace.
And that is not because the media don’t want to show it, but they have been told to do so. Lets suppose if that reporter was Ukrainian and the sniper was a Russian then what the channels would have done.
We’ve rejected this inequality in the past and will continue to stand against it.
